" A person who fills a vacancy in an elective or appointed position that requires training and a person employed in a position that requires training must complete his or her initial ethics training within 6 months after commencement of his or her office or employment."
To simplify the process, an orientation has been added to the Nessie New Hire task list. All new hires should complete the ethics orientation prior to beginning work at the University of Illinois. The window to complete the orientation lasts 60 days. After this point, new employees will no longer be able to access and complete the orientation. If an employee misses this window, they may complete a word version of the document and mail the final page, including their name, University Identification Number (UIN), the date and a signature to the University Ethics Office at:
University Ethics Office
Human Resources Building, Room 20
One University Plaza, HRB 20
Springfield, IL 62703-5407
