Protect privacy and confidentiality
Transparency is vital to our success and to maintaining public trust. We must, however, protect the confidentiality of information and the privacy of individuals when required by state or federal law. Accordingly, all of us who work with student education records, employee data, patient records, contract negotiation documents, sponsored research, or other information subject to release or dissemination restrictions must know and understand the applicable restrictions and strictly comply with those requirements.
